Who Taught You That? (It’s yours)
Feb 5, 2021
Baby blue ball bursting boy
A metaphor for everything unsure
A trail of unfinished poems and unsung ballads
Did anyone tell you that even that is beautiful?
That even you are?
Who taught you that?
That maybe sometimes you didn’t need to kick
So hard to float
That you were designed to survive
Who told you you had weight?
And that maybe you’re more than that
Who dried your eyes
Gave you words
A rose tongue
A voice
Who gave you power?
Who stood with you eye to eye
And told you it’s okay
That even if all you’ve known is madness
Peace could still be yours
It’s yours
It’s yours
It’s yours
